EPISODE 1
Jin Le Group was set up by Jia Yi and his wife, She Huijun. Jia Yi was an outstanding chef whose speciality was abalone. When a severe illness rendered him an invalid, Huijun took over the running of the business.

Three of the Jia's sons are deceased. Their remaining children - second son, Zengmu; youngest son, Zengtu; and daughter, Zengyue - work for the company.

Zengmu has a son, Ruoqi, who is a police officer.

Though Zengmu and Zengtu are incapable, their wives, Guiying and Xiyi, are Huijun's able assistants. Zengyue is envious of Xiyi.

Zengyue is married to Qicai, the executive chef. They have a son, Yuqi, who is studying in the States.

Though Xiyi is not a graduate, she has a shrewd business mind. Under her management, Jin Le has opened several branches.

Zengtu is disappointed when Xiyi insists on returning home right after a business trip to Sydney, to help her niece, Wanqi, with the preparations for her wedding.

Xiyi has hired a wedding planner for Wanqi. Zengyue is unhappy. Huijun, however, is supportive and has offered to pay any extra costs incurred. Wanqi will be marrying Du Zhongxian, the son of one of the wealthiest men in Taiwan.

While Xiyi is busy settling the debts chocked up by her sister, Fengyi, Zengtu has a tryst with Bao'er, an actress.

曦怡和婚礼策划员环视餐厅环境，婚礼策划员向曦怡说出自己的设计。曦怡叮嘱婚礼策划员一定要把婚礼细节处理得完美无暇。曦怡上车后，要司机先去接增土，再一起去御厨剪彩。

增土在名表店内为宛其选结婚礼物，见到宝儿，感到非常惊艳增土和宝儿自表店出来，想有进一步发展时，司机来到，表示曦怡在车上等。增土无奈，随司机离去。

御厨开幕的日子，增悦向增木埋怨，表示开幕仪式就要开始，但是仍不见曦怡和增土的人影。增木不知如何反应时，增土和曦怡赶到。增悦讽刺曦怡，曦怡淡笑以对。曦怡等人剪彩。

贾母问宛其婚事的筹备。增悦认为曦怡通过的婚礼企划书开销太大，曦怡则认为则是贾家第三代第一次办婚礼，当然不能随便。两人各持己见。最后，贾母表示如果婚礼费用太高，超出的数额由自己负责。增悦只得噤声。

增悦为贾母偏袒曦怡而忿忿不平。奇才为曦怡说好话，反被增悦责骂。增悦不悦，表示等着看曦怡和增土离婚，毕竟增土换女人犹如换衣服。增悦还表示曦怡在外面搞生意，不知道有没有利用贾家的名声招摇。

曦怡正忙着公事，接到电话，得知姐姐凤仪亏空公款。曦怡唯有帮风仪垫出钱。之后，曦怡赶回金乐继续工作。而增土则和宝儿沉浸在温柔乡。

奇才和其他厨师、员工聚赌。奇才仗势欺负其他厨师。厨师们虽有不满，却只能哑忍。除此之外，奇才施计轻薄小玲。小玲委屈。小玲向增木投诉。增木敷衍，要小玲去找增悦。
曦怡得知事情经过，劝小玲为了保住自己的饭碗，还是把此事化无的好，但是答应会帮忙小玲调到另一间餐厅。

众人开会，讨论美食城的事情，增悦和曦怡各有看法，相持不下时，小玲突然闯了进来，指控奇才非礼。众人愕然。增悦怒打奇才。增木劝阻。增木反问增悦为何没有处理好。增悦错愕，表示自己全不知情。增悦怀疑是曦怡在背后做手脚，对曦怡兴师问罪……   (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 2
Zengyue berates her husband for humiliating her. She then blames Xiyi.

Ruoqi returns home from Scotland on the same day as Yuqi, who has completed his studies in America. Having grown up together, they are as close as brothers.

Yuqi rushes to Chinatown to buy biscuits for Huijun immediately after he arrives.

Zengyue wants Yuqi to work for the company. Guiying hopes Ruoqi will do the same, but he prefers his job in the police force.

Ou Xiangyun, a new police officer, and Ruoqi are assigned to work on a murder case.

Peeved with Zengmu for being indecisive, Zengyue takes over his duties without his consent.

Xiyi refuses to finance Fengyi's new manicure shop. Guiying turns up and tries to coerce Xiyi into supporting Zengmu.

Just then, the ladies receive news of a strike at the restaurant due to the adjustments in bonuses made by Zengyue.

Zengyue is surprised Xiyi is supportive of her decision. She also discovers Xiyi is not the one who instigated Xiaoling to kick up a fuss.

Zengyue wants to change abalone suppliers. Furious, Huijun rants at her and tells Xiyi to take over such decisions in the future.   (Source: 8 Days)

贾母正等着玉其回来，增悦却表示玉其会迟些才回到。贾母感到失望，贵莺表示玉其和若其约了在台湾转机，一起回来。

增悦表示玉其毕业了，应该到金乐帮忙，贾母赞成。玉其欲言又止。贵莺也乘机表示若其是长子嫡孙，更应该回金乐帮忙。若其却坦言当警察是自己的理想。两人互相推搪。若其回到警局，众女警员献殷勤。

中医师正帮增木针灸。增悦进入，问之前呈给的改革花红制度的文件，增木是否已经签名批准。增木支吾。增悦索性擅自接手增土的工作。

风仪正在做指甲彩绘。曦怡匆匆赶到。风仪兴致勃勃，表示自己想开一家美指店，而且向曦怡保证这次绝对不会失败。曦怡根本不打算支持风仪，转身欲离开时，贵莺来到，乘机向曦怡投诉增悦，并要曦怡帮忙增木。贵莺还说出改革花红制度的事情，曦怡居然赞成增悦的改革，只是担心增悦操之过急，会引起员工反弹。这时，曦怡接到来电，得知员工为了花红一事罢工。曦怡赶到，和增悦一起将事情圆满解决。

增悦向奇才表示讶异于曦怡会支持自己的改革。奇才谓曦怡其实也是明理人。增悦正要走开时，听见老张（厨师）正怂恿小玲。增悦质问，得知之前非礼事件的真相。增悦知道误会了曦怡。

增悦决定更换供应商（老林）一事。曦怡则认为和原有的供应商一直都合作愉快，而且供应商和贾母是深交，贾母有特别交代不能更换供应商。增悦则认为供应商的价钱稍贵，不合乎经济利益。增悦坚持要换供应商，并表示会代替曦怡跟供应商交代。贾母针对更换供应商的事情，责骂增悦和增木，并表示以后供应商的事情还是交给曦怡处理。增悦感到不悦……  (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 3
Zhongxian turns up late with the bridal gifts but they are stunning. Huijun leads him into Jia Yi's room and relates how Wanqi's parents had died in a plane crash. Zhongxian promises to love her with all his heart.

Yuqi takes Huijun to Fusion Spa and tells her that managing a spa is his dream. She agrees to let him try it out for two years.

Zhongxian and Wanqi see Zengtu with Bao'er.

Ruoqi notices Xiangyun celebrating a child's birthday and learns she is a volunteer at an orphanage.

Photographs of Zengtu's rendezvous with Bao'er appear in the tabloids. Zengtu begs Huijun to help him appease Xiyi, who is not in Singapore, and promises to end the relationship.

Bao'er looks Huijun up and claims she is carrying Zengtu's child. Just then, Huijun receives news that Jia Yi's condition has taken a turn for the worse. She is devastated when he passes away without waking up.  (Source: 8 Days)

贾家众人为仲贤来下聘的事情而准备。然而，仲贤迟迟未到，让增悦感到不悦。另一方面，仲贤正在投标“璀璨日尔曼”，作为给宛其的下聘礼物。

增悦为仲贤的迟到不悦。增木与奇才为打圆场，却说错话。这时，仲贤抵达，场面有些尴尬。仲贤拿出“璀璨日而曼”，众人咋舌。宛其向众人逐一介绍仲贤。

贾母、仲贤与宛其探视贾一。贾母告知两人贾一产生并发症，已经进化成肺炎了。贾母说出宛其身世，以及对宛其的疼爱。仲贤承诺会爱宛其一生一世。

增悦再度提出要玉其回金乐帮忙，玉其含糊其词。增悦去上班后。玉其带贾母去Fusion Spa，告诉贾母自己的理想。贾母终于答应让玉其经营Fusion Spa，但是只给玉其2年的时间。

仲贤和宛其巧遇增土和宝儿。宛其劝增土应该要修心养性了。增土一笑而过。增土提议陪仲贤去玩。仲贤表示自己比较喜欢赚钱。增土离开后，仲贤谓宛其应该庆幸自己嫁了个爱赚钱的老公。

若其与朋友在外谈公事，遇见湘云与一群聋哑小朋友。湘云帮小朋友庆祝生日。若其以为湘云是孤儿院的义公，对湘云另眼相看。

增土与宝儿幽会，却被偷拍，上了杂志封面。贾家众人，有些为增土担忧，有些则等着看好戏。贾母责骂增土。增土表示忏悔，要贾母帮忙哄曦怡，并且要贾家众人封口。贾母表示即使她封得住贾家众人的口，也封不住外人的口。增土保证自己会去找宝儿解决。

增土来找宝儿，主动提出分手，表示两人关系曝光，必然和宝儿脱不了关系。宝儿无辜，否认。宝儿私下前往找贾母。贾母要宝儿不要再纠缠增土了，宝儿表示自己有了增土的孩子。贾母错愕。时，贾母接到电话，得知贾一病危。贾母匆忙赶回贾家，医生告知抢救无效，宣告贾一死亡……  (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 4
Xiyi rushes back from Australia. Huijun is disturbed by a letter of condolence with a mean theme. It is from Chen Tianfa.

Everyone is surprised to Xiyi is indifferent about the tabloid reports on Zengtu.

Bao'er turns up to see Huijun, but meets Xiyi instead. Hesitant when Xiyi asserts that Zengtu can never make a woman pregnant, she leaves without a word.

Xiyi lashes out at Zengtu and tells him she will begin divorce proceedings after his father's funeral.

Announcing that she needs a break, Huijun puts Xiyi in charge of the company. Guiying becomes anxious about Zengmu's status, but he is only concerned about his health.

Fengyi becomes a shareholder of a rival restaurant. Zengyue uses this against Xiyi.

Huijun gives Zengmu and Zengtu each 15 percent of the company's shares. Wanqi gets 10 percent, while Xiyi gets 5 percent.

曦怡匆忙赶回来奔丧。贾母看着曦怡风尘仆仆模样，不免想起增土和宝儿的事情，对曦怡不禁心生怜惜。增土找来，看着曦怡，心中有些忐忑。贾母收到一位署名陈天发的人寄来的吊唁卡。曦怡却对陈天发这个名字留下了印象。贾母要曦怡接受负责丧礼的准备。曦怡发现曝露增土与宝儿情事的杂志。奇才等人静观其变。然而曦怡却不动神色。

宝儿前来找贾母。曦怡索性直接和宝儿摊牌。宝儿表示有了增土的孩子。曦怡表示增土不可能会让女人怀孕。

曦怡回到家中，紧绷的情绪终于爆发，对增土拳打脚踢。曦怡对增土表示，待贾一的事情告一段落，贾母心情稍微平复后，会和她提两人准备离婚的事情。增土错愕。
贾母宣布自己希望暂时休息一段时间，金乐的事情交由曦怡暂代。众人有些意外。
贵莺觉得增木的地位不保。增木却是可有可无的心态。贵莺见状，更是生气，

增土企图用这种方法感动曦怡，可惜曦怡始终不为所动。增悦得知凤仪在外与人合作经营餐馆，与御厨打对台，竟指责曦怡吃里扒外，背叛贾家。曦怡错愕。曦怡往找凤仪，要凤仪退股。凤仪不肯。曦怡向贾母提出辞职，表示愿意负荆请罪。增悦意外曦怡提出辞职。贾母表示自己心里有数，要曦怡先压下辞职的要求。最后，贾母宣布总经理一职由增木继承，众人愕然……   (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 5
Zengmu has always been an obedient son. He worries that he will not be able to manage the company well. Huijun gives him encouragement, and Zengyue picks a quarrel with her as a result.

Disgruntled, Zengyue asks to take all the leave she has sacrificed over the years. Huijun tells Zengmu to give his approval.

Zengyue wants Qicai to take leave as well. He is caught in a dilemma, as he has been providing their rival, Hong Hai, with Jin Le's secret sauce. If he leaves the country, Hong Hai's supply will be cut off.

Zengmu fumbles during the first board meeting. When Zengyue refuses to help out, he turns to Xiyi for assistance.

Xiyi tells Huijun she wants to divorce Zengtu.

Ruoqi is unhappy when Xiangyun leaves a meeting at a phone call. He later sees her roaming the streets, desperately trying to get information on an accident.

At the hospital, Yangyang, an orphan, dies of the injuries suffered in the accident. Xiangyun reveals she is an orphan herself and feels sad for Yangyang. Ruoqi promises to help investigate the case.

增木担心自己无法胜任总经理的职位。贾母给予鼓励。时，增悦怒冲冲进来。贾母责备增悦。增悦与贾母起了冲突。增悦向奇才表示自己要放假，要奇才也跟着放假。奇才有些为难，但还是答应。

增木第一次负责管理层会议，凡事不能作主，有些手忙脚乱，问增悦意见。增悦凡事不理。增木反向曦怡求助，曦怡不忍，帮忙增木。增悦冷言冷语，表示反正都不会被重视，何苦自讨苦吃。

曦怡向贾母表示要跟增土离婚。贾母劝曦怡，要曦怡再三思量。贾母将曦怡的决定告知增土，要增土努力挽回这段婚姻。湘云工作时，临时请假。若其不悦。

若其开车经过见湘云拦住路人，问车祸详情。若其质问湘云为何丢下自己的工作，反而来做一些不是自己工作范围内的事情。湘云也不解释，时，湘云接到电话，硬上了若其的车，要若其送自己一程。

湘云冲进病房，见到小孩已经死了。湘云伤心痛哭。若其安慰。湘云说出自己的身世，表示父母也是遇车祸死的，自己从此成了孤儿，所以对这次小孩被撞身亡的事情，格外感同身受。若其同情湘云。

增悦度假，增木来电，请教增悦。增悦冷言冷语表示，自己现在正在放假，帮不了增木，便挂了电话。增木挂了电话，转头，见到贾母。贾母劝增木争气。增木建议贾母把总经理的位子让给别人。贾母痛骂增木，并痛陈利害，希望儿子努力把金乐搞好。贾母表示增木不是不能，而是不为。贾母鼓励增木，增木沉吟，答应尝试努力。

增木劝增土和自己一起努力，表示“兄弟同心，其力断筋”。增土表示自己正为曦怡的事而烦恼。增木劝增土把心思放在工作上，让曦怡看到增土的改变，说不定会回心转意。时，增土灵机一动，表示自己的电话，曦怡不听，但是增土的电话，曦怡绝对不会拒绝。增土要增木帮忙拨电给曦怡。

曦怡带着增土来到荷花池，表示这里是自己每次感到烦恼时，一定会来的地方。曦怡说出这几年，和增土的婚姻里的挫折，无奈和无力感。曦怡表示这里是增土跟自己求婚的地方，表示一切在这里开始，一切也在这里结束。曦怡把戒指丢进池里，谓和增土所有的一切犹如戒指，永远沉入池里。增土表示自己不会让一切结束，说罢，增土跳进池里。曦怡大惊……   (Source: Mediacorp Website)
