EPISODE 1
Wang Xiaoniu cannot bear to sell her injured monkey. The Gods of Fortune, Prosperity and Longevity turn up to help her and even bestow good luck upon her. They turn the monkey into a birthday gift for the Queen Mother.

Upset about not being invited to the Queen Mother’s birthday banquet, the Deity of Plague releases a beast named ‘Nian’ to torture the mortal world.

Recognising that Nian hates happy and boisterous occasions, the three gods urge the people to use firecrackers and drums to chase the beast away.

The Jade Emperor is pleased with the ‘taming’ of the beast. He decides the occasion should be marked by the introduction of spring in the mortal world.

A Sanxing Temple in Changshou Village is popular with the people. Shishi and Feifei are fairies in charge of fulfilling their wishes.

Ma-gu, another fairy, learns the three gods rank higher than the Jade Emperor in terms of popularity. She warns them to be careful but they ignore her advice.

The Deity of Plague creates trouble through Wang Xiaoniu, Shishi and Feifei. His prank causes misery on earth as well as in heaven.

冰雪覆天盖地时刻，家贫的王小妞因为不忍心放走家里喂养来卖艺的受伤，巧遇福禄寿三星，三星了解她的苦楚，赐予她好运，王小妞感激不已。

福禄寿三人买下猴子，施法把它变成灵猴，想要把它献给王母娘娘贺寿，玩闹时，却让灵猴溜走。在天庭，三星又联手戏弄麻姑，偷喝了她的准备献给王母娘娘的仙酒，麻姑想要告状，张果老劝阻。

王母娘娘设寿宴，却不邀请瘟神出席，令瘟神大为不满，扬言把他喂养多年的年兽放出来肆虐，扰乱人间，给天庭制造麻烦。
三星闻凡间有妖气，赶紧赶往救难，这时，福星发现年兽作怪，王小妞有难，决定出手相救。

结果，三星制服年兽，玉帝满意三星的所为，提出建设年来庆祝，可是，由于财神，灶神反对，结果双方结怨。第一间三星庙在人间长寿村建立，香火鼎盛，一对筊杯幻变成的美女是是非非忙得不亦乐乎。

麻姑发现人间搞了个神仙排行榜，把三星排名在玉帝之前，劝三星小心，三星反而笑她因为落选而妒忌他们，麻姑气煞。财神灶神以神仙排行榜向玉帝告状，说三星“目中无人”，功高震主，玉帝要三星赶紧回来解释。

可是这时，瘟神又出来捣乱，还捉了王小妞作为人质，约三星决战，寿星让禄星回返天庭面见玉帝解释，自己单独挑战瘟神，结果不敌。
禄星在天庭等待觐见玉帝，麻姑却偷看天镜，知道寿星有危险，赶紧转告禄星，禄星大惊，打算离去救寿星，二郎神不准，双方动手，麻姑为了帮助禄星离去，擅自敲天钟，转移二郎神视线，让禄星溜去。

三星再次联手，将瘟神打得大伤，落荒而逃。

玉帝追究起来，福禄寿解释了神仙榜排名一事，玉帝暂且释怀，而却惩罚麻姑，因为她乱敲天钟，扰乱安宁。

三星抱怨天庭黑暗，因为心烦随口答应让是是非非随意给人间赐福。
结果，瘟神知道此事，伺机报复，故意放走一批十恶不赦的囚犯，大家求的都是恶愿，还都一一实现，人间顿时大乱 。

那只逃脱的灵猴却大闹天宫，还盗走玉帝的朝天冠，放走了玉帝的天马。三星知道这下可麻烦大了，在麻姑的协助下，寿星与麻姑下凡找天马，寿星感激麻姑的诚意，双方颇有好感。

人间杀戮冲天，玉帝为此十分不满，迁怒予三星，而三星却怪罪是是非非败事。玉帝发怒，要贬谪三星下凡……  (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 2
As punishment, the Jade Emperor banishes the three gods to earth. They are to suffer and complete three tasks before returning to the celestial world.

The three gods presume they will have a good time. Ma-gu worries when she realizes the trio will be plagued by bad fortune, illness and poverty.

Mrs Wu, Mrs Wei and Mrs Mei are all pregnant. Bao Shengnan, a midwife, has agreed to help them with their deliveries.

Mrs Wu is upset that her husband is having an affair with Madam Diao.

The Deity of Plague tries to harm the three unborn babies. Ma-gu stops him. The three pregnant women end up giving birth in Sanxing Temple on the same day.

When Mrs Wu leaves the temple, her husband dies in an accident. The baby, Wu Fuqi, is left with Madam Diao. Wu Fuqi is the reincarnated God of Fortune.

The Meis’ son, Mei Shouquan, is the reincarnated God of Longevity. The boy is sickly.

The Weis’ son, Wei Delu, is an eloquent boy.

The three boys grow up together as good friends.

Sanxing Temple is no longer popular. Even Shishi and Feifei have defected.

Years pass. Wu Fuqi , Mei Shouquan and Wei Delu grow up to be the most unpopular young men in town.  (Source: 8 Days)

玉帝发怒，要贬谪三星下凡，三星不知死活，还在作乐，以为事情不会那么严重，麻姑偷看天镜，知道三星日后下凡，劫难重重，大惊失色。麻姑告诉三星关于他们转世为人的下场，三星不安，觉玉帝的惩罚未免太重。

在凡间，吴妻在准备去捉奸时，遇见接生妇包生南，这时的吴大丰，因为勾搭了刁氏，害得临盆在即吴妻对她怨恨不已。包生南是有名的接生婆，这时，魏家，梅家两对夫妇也来找她接生，，瘟神施法让马车相撞，结果三个孕妇落难，躲到败落的三星庙生产，瘟神想下毒手，却被麻姑击退，福禄寿三人终于呱呱坠地。

吴大丰发现妻子留下儿子而去，很快的他也意外惨死，孩子辗转交由情妇刁氏抚养。这是由福星托生的吴福气，一出世就无父无母，十分没福气。
梅家的孩子梅寿全，是由寿星托世，他从小体弱多病。

在学堂里，梅寿全老是打喷嚏，学童们都不敢接近他。而由禄星托世的魏得禄，却是口才了得，与吴福气、梅寿全都是好友。吴福气因为闹学，而被老师惩戒一番，三人一起相约躲到三星庙去玩。是是非非看见昔日的主人福禄寿三星变成今日的顽童模样，十分失望，决定离开他们，自立门户。

成年时的吴福气是一个一事无成的小混混，一天他发现养母刁氏与彭大头奸情，闹个不休，表现了他无赖泼皮的性格。魏得禄饱读诗书，却是目中无人，自以为是，父亲想尽一切办法要上京赴试，却遭到他拒绝。

而身子衰弱的梅寿全，竟然还有暴饮暴食的恶心，令人摇头担心。一日，三人相遇逛街，却搞得满街上人仰马翻，大家对三人都十分讨厌，称之三害。  (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 3
Ma-gu and Zhang Guolao worry about the trio.

Having offended Magistrate Shi Yaoqian, Wei Delu is imprisoned. Mei Shouquan develops a bad stomach from overeating.

Wu Fuqi hopes to bribe Magistrate Shi into releasing Wei Delu. Meanwhile, he meets a bandit, Yizimei, and is tricked into believing a pill Yizimei gives him will cure Mei Shouquan.

Wei Delu offends the prison guard, Chang Ren, with his harsh words.

Zhang Guolao decides to help the trio. He begs Ma-gu to go to the mortal word to fulfil their three requirements before they reach the age of 30. Thereafter, the trio will never get to return to the celestial world.

Wu Fuqi agrees to help Yizimei create a ruckus in the streets, so that the latter can rescue his junior, Jade Leopard, from the execution grounds. At the crucial moment, Ma-gu turns up and saves the day. Everyone mistakes her for Jinyanzi (Golden Swallow), a female constable from the capital. Ma-gu assumes the roles and calls herself Ma Ruyi.

Ma Ruyi sets off to save Mei Shouquan, who is near death because of Yizimei’s pill. At the yamen, she persuades Magistrate Shi to release Wei Delu. She then taunts Wei Delu. She then taunts Wei Delu about the Top Scholar award in the imperial examinations.   (Source: 8 Days)

麻姑与张果老在天上偷看天镜，知道三人沦落到如此下场，十分担心。这时梅寿全又不小心受伤，伤势严重，吴福气则想落草为寇，竟然希望拜汪洋大盗一字眉为师傅，一字眉骗说有解药可以治好梅寿全的病，结果梅寿全反而更病入膏肓。

魏得禄因为擅自修改皇榜，被县官石耀前捉进牢里囚禁，他在牢房里，又胡言乱语的得罪狱卒，令人想毒哑他，作为报复。张果老看到这样的情况，怕三星就此沉沦，决定出手相救。

可是，张果老不敢自己出面，苦苦求到麻姑同意，下凡救人。麻姑吃惊的看到三星变得如此不济，勉强答应了张果老。一字眉唆使吴福气去放置炸药，准备伺机劫法场，救走他的师弟采花大盗玉面豹，吴福气助纣为虐，竟然答应了他的要求。

就在炸弹爆发的千钧一发时刻，麻姑出手，阻止了悲剧的发生，一字眉、石耀前都错以为麻姑是女捕快金燕子。麻姑干脆就认做是金燕子，改名麻如意，她放下吴福气后，又匆匆的救醒几乎已经断气的梅寿全，还把牢里的魏得禄也救了，免了他的一场劫难。

可是，麻如意的所作所为并不得魏得禄，吴福气的感激，吴福气怪她破坏了他跟一字眉的师徒恩情。魏得禄根本就看不起麻如意，麻如意大为气恼。麻姑与魏得禄斗口才，魏得禄不敌，扬言要去考功名回来压一压她的威风。  (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 4
Ma Ruyi suggests Mei Shouquan practice martial arts and lead a healthier lifestyle.

Mei Shouquan and Wu Fuqi become concerned at word that Wei Delu has been forced to go to the capital because of Ma Ruyi.

Wu Fuqi is gloating that Ma Ruyi has not forced him to do anything when she turns up with 10 rules of conduct for him and orders him to change his 10 bad habits by the age of 30.

Despite Ma Ruyi’s warnings Wu Fuqi still looks Yizimei up. Yizimei assumes Wu Fuqi has betrayed him by leading a constable to him. Ma Ruyi uses her magic skills to save Wu Fuqi and is given pockmarks as punishment. Zhang Guolao delivers magic cream to help her cover the marks.

Magistrate Shi arrests Wu Fuqi for collaborating with Yizimei.

Wei Delu offends the examiners and is barred from entering the examination hall.

Ma Ruyi forces all the prisoners, including Wu Fuqi, to work and study while in captivity.

Yizimei turns up to save Jade Leopard but Wu Fuqi assumes he has come to his rescue.   (Source: 8 Days)

魏得禄终于答应父亲上京赶考。梅家感激麻如意救命之恩，麻如意则鼓励梅寿全学拳强身之道，结果，由麻如意来教拳，生性懒散惯可的梅寿全叫苦连天。

魏得禄、吴福气，梅寿全三人话别，都觉得麻姑漂亮，但不容易对付，魏得禄叫二人忍一时之气，等他考到状元，再回来对付她。麻如意要吴福气说出一字眉下落，吴福气不说，麻如意觉得吴福气十分不争气，决心要改变他。

一字眉见吴福气与麻如意交往，以为他出卖了自己，有心害死吴福气，结果，危急间，麻如意使用仙法救了吴福气，却遭到天谴，脸上生了很多麻子，令她痛苦不已。 张果老拼命安慰之，希望麻姑继续扶起拯救三星的任务，引导他们向善。

魏得禄上京赶考，却口没遮拦得罪了考官眨巴眼，结果，被人暗中陷害，连考场的门都进不去，信心大受打击，麻如意看在眼里，却再也不敢使用仙法帮他。麻姑向石耀前提出了改革监狱的计划，要吴福气在内的众犯人要去劳作读书，搞得众人埋怨不已。

另一方面，麻如意继续阻止梅寿全暴饮暴食，逼他练拳，梅寿全对她十分恼恨。一字眉劫狱，想要救出玉面豹来分赃，吴福气还以为一字眉是来救自己，大喜，还帮一字眉打走狱卒, 却不知一字眉暗藏杀机……  (Source: Mediacorp Website)

EPISODE 5
Wu Fuqi thinks Yizimei is trying to help him escape but is mistaken. Ma Ruyi captures Yizimei. Jade Leopard slips away and goes free.

Ma Ruyi makes Shi Yaoqian believe Wu Fuqi is the undercover agent she has sent to check the stockades. Wu Fuqi is released, but he is not grateful to Ma Ruyi.

Wu Fuqi returns home and demands cash for his gambling habit. Ma Ruyi turns up and offers the peeved Madam Diao one tael each time she stops Wu Fuqi from breaking the Ten Rules.

Ma Ruyi uses lingzhi to trick Mei Shouquan into going up the hill to exercise. Mrs Mei approves.

Wei Delu has been hiding in a temple since failing the exams. Ma Ruyi taunts him into going home.

Wu Fuqi takes Mei Shouquan and Wei Delu to the brothel. Ma Ruyi teaches them all a good lesson. When they sneak into the temple to peek at Princess Ruining and are caught, however, Ma Ruyi goes to their rescue.

The willful Princess Ruining likes her childhood friend, Ouyang Xiaotian.

Wu Fuqi and the others coerce Ma Ruyi into taking them to Ouyang Xiaotian’s banquet. Wei Delu unwittingly offends Ouyang Xiaotian.   (Source: 8 Days)

一字眉劫狱，想要救出玉面豹来分赃，吴福气还以为一字眉是来救自己，大喜，还帮一字眉打走狱卒，却不知一字眉暗藏杀机，危急间麻如意急急阻止，还被吴福气攻击。结果，麻如意终于成功的捕获一字眉，为了让吴福气出狱，麻如意谎称说吴福气是他的卧底，骗得石耀前的信任，把吴福气放出去，可是吴福气根本不领情，还以为麻如意在暗恋自已，麻如意气煞。

刁氏骂吴福气不争气，要麻如意帮忙管教他。麻如意骗说山上有灵芝，骗梅寿全上山，实际上是要他好好劳作一番，结果梅寿全假装晕倒，被麻如意训斥了一顿。梅寿全向母亲埋怨麻如意的种种不是，梅母反而喜欢她。

麻如意发现魏得禄因为考场失意，躲在庙里不敢见人，以激将法刺激他回家。大街上，人人走避三害，三人无奈，吴福气干脆带梅寿全，魏得禄去青楼寻欢作乐，麻如意跟踪而至，狠狠的教训了三人一番。

吴福气三人都不明白为什么麻如意处处要管制他们的行为，这时，听闻瑞宁公主要来城隍庙上香，三人欣喜，悄悄跑去偷看公主，却被麻如意作弄。瑞宁公主长得国色天香，结果，吴福气等人吵吵闹闹的出现，让石耀前以为吴福气等是刺客，要杀三人，麻如意阻止。说三人是她的密探，瑞宁公主对此半信半疑。而昏庸无能的石耀前却信得十足。

瑞宁公主生性刁蛮，心里喜欢青梅竹马的永欢侯欧阳啸天，却老是想要试探他对自己的真心。而对麻如意的女捕快身份，瑞宁公主却有所怀疑。欧阳啸天设宴，吴福气三人为了再次看到瑞宁公主的容貌，要求麻如意带他们去见瑞宁公主，麻如意勉强继续让他们以助手的身份出现。结果在中秋晚宴上， 魏得禄批评欧阳啸天的画作，得罪了对方。    (Source: Mediacorp Website)
